COVID-19The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. The following protections are in place at our office: Throughout the office:First and foremost, two portable air purifications systems with ActivePure® Technology have been installed. Better than HEPA filtration alone, it also uses ionization and ActivePure® Technology to destroy up to 99% of contaminants in the air and on surfaces. The air in the office is exchanged once every three hours. In addition, we have also added Reme-Halo technology® to our HVAC system. Both systems use Ionized Hydro-Peroxides and Hydroxide ions –which neutralize bacteria and viruses in the air and on surfaces. A Kansas State University sneeze test study proved there was a 99% reduction of microbials within 3 feet. In the check-in and check-out areas:We ask that any patient who has had symptoms of any illness or contact with any COVID-19 positive individuals within 21 days to reschedule their appointment. We ask that only the appointed patient enters the office. All who enter the office must wear a face mask covering their mouth and nose. The mask is to remain in place until you are told to remove it for your procedure and then be replaced before you return to the reception area. All patients will have their temperature taken and be asked to sanitize their hands upon check-in. In the waiting area, we have removed half of our seating. We strive to limit the number of people in the waiting area and to limit your time there. You can also use your car as a waiting room and call us to let us know you have arrived. We will call you back to let you know when to come in. Most paperwork is accomplished online or through the mail to limit each person’s time in the waiting area. To prevent the spread of contaminants, all magazines and children’s toys have been removed. We have installed protective plexiglass shields at the check-out counters. We have moved our credit card readers so patients can swipe their card themselves. We ask that you have your method of payment and appointment calendar ready to expedite check-out. Chairs, counters, doorknobs, pens, etc. are periodically disinfected throughout the day. In the treatment areas:Additional and continual suction is being used to help reduce aerosols in the procedure areas. Our doctors, assistants, and hygienists will be wearing additional protective equipment. As always, all rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sprayed with disinfectant between patients. As always, all instruments are cleansed and sterilized after every use. |
